The Ralph & Sandra Molé Scholarship

for Women of Color in Sports Broadcasting

We are proud to support feminine-identifying individuals, and particularly women of color, to expand representation into the sports broadcasting field. Grants will be awarded to student or students enrolled in journalism or media production program with a focus on sports broadcasting. In some cases grants will be made to support a sports broadcasting project or sports documentation project outside of the scholastic environment if the project serves to expand representation of women or women of color in sports broadcasting.

Ralph & Sandra Molé changed the way people experience sports through television with Emmy-Award winning Windfall Productions.

As true innovators in the field, Windfall was the first shop to utilize multiple and rider-mounted cameras and Flycams to record competition, bringing a new level of excitement to live action sports coverage. These “game-changing” multi-camera recording techniques revolutionized the industry.

Ralph and Sandra shepherded Windfall as a 30-year fixture in the sports production industry helping to bring ESPN and multiple Olympic Games to life. Thier legacy lives on in continuing to shepherd passion, perspective and talent into the sports broadcasting field.
